Respecting the Brown Castle

With the recent renovations of the brown castle, Stadium High School students have the privilege of attending a school rich in tradition, and full of pride. The time, effort, and money spent on the school was evidence of what this school is worth; not just to us as students, but to the community as a whole. It is time we start taking advantage of our opportunity with this building, and start to make better decisions as to how to do that.

As a student that has attended another high school, I personally know what we have in comparison to others. The occurrence of vandalism around the school sickens me. It can be a very nice feeling to walk around the campus of Stadium and not have to look at what other schools do; that is dilapidation. The acts that have taken place around campus that have caused such problems are simply an act of disrespect, and immaturity. With the amount of respect Mr. Kellett, and other school administration show towards us as students, we in turn need to show them respect they deserve, and take care of what we have here at school.

Vandalism is a crime that is much unlike many others. There is no excuse for that sort of thing, no possible motive; and that is why it is such an irritant. One thing that I would like to instill in the minds of the guilty, is that doing such things doesn't make you look cool in any way, shape, or form. We all can do our part to stop it, and report any damaging acts you see to a school authority.
