Junior National Association for the Deaf

The Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Program has a club called Junior National Association of the Deaf (Jr. NAD). Jr. NAD is a leadership club for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. The Jr. NAD is the youth version of the National Association of the Deaf, which was established in 1880 and is the oldest advocacy group of its kind in America.

We encourage hearing students who have an interest in American Sign Language to get involved as well. This is affiliated with a national organization so a $10 membership fee applies. Voting rights are given to members only, but non-members are always welcome to attend, and be involved with club activities.

We meet every Wednesday
(unless it is pre-empted by a staff meeting)
from 2:15 to 4:00 pm in room 2718.
