National Honor Society
![]()
The National Honor Society was founded in 1921 by a group of men and women who became known as the National Council. When creating this prestigious society, the members of the National Council had in mind a goal to improve school programs, communities, and the world through community service while still setting a great academic example. Induction into this honorary club requires a student to have a good academic record, leadership abilities, a teacher recommendation, and must be a Junior or Senior.
I pledge to maintain my high scholastic standing,
To hold as fundamental and worthy and untarnished character,
To endeavor intelligently and courageously
To be a leader,
and to give of myself freely in service to others.
In so doing,
I shall prove myself worthy
of a place in the National Honor Society.
