Future Business Leaders of America ...

Future Business Leaders of America is a student leadership organization designed for all students. Those students interested in business will find this organization beneficial. Students may attend conferences and compete in subjects relating to business at the regional and state levels. Membership to this organization looks great on a resume

Here at Mount Tahoma High School the chapter of Future Business Leaders of America is a very organized, intellectual, and surprising chapter. We participate in many completions and conferences with other schools in the state of Washington. There are different regions that perform in these activities and act to their duties.

The FBLA concept was developed in 1937 by Dr. Hamden L. Forkner of Columbia University. The first high school chapter was organized in Johnson City, Tennessee, on February 3,1942. A post-secondary division, Phi Beta Lambda, was created 1958. In 1989, the Professional Division was organized to include businesspersons, administrators, parents, alumni, and all persons supporting the goals of FBLA-PBL, Inc.
