Achievers Program Presents Opportunities

The Achievers Scholarship program provides guidance and financial support to help students earn a four-year college degree. To be eligible, a student must have low or moderate family income and be planning and preparing for college. Students selected for the scholarship must attend college in Washington for at least the first two years.

Students apply and are selected in their junior year. Selected students are matched with a mentor, with whom they meet at least monthly until high school graduation. Students must attend all Achievers functions and follow the laws of the state of Washington.

Upcoming Application Process

Foss students who are members of the class of 2010 will apply in the fall of 2008. There is no minimum grade point average required. Students will submit online applications in October and be notified about selection in March. Selected students must graduate from Foss or another high school with the Achievers Scholarship program. Students who apply but are not selected are encouraged to stay connected with program staff, who are eager to advise on course selection, college and financial aid applications, and scholarship searches
