Task 3 : The Project!

Now it's time to show what you have learned about plants. Using computer software such as KidPix, you will create a simple slideshow. Review the scoring rubric in the Assessment section for more details.

Follow these steps or use your own ideas to do something similar:

1. Click on the Blank Slide in the Documents section. The file will open with Kid Pix. (It is simply a blank slide with a line drawn to separate the illustration from the text box area.)
2. Click "Save As" and rename the slide with something such as "<name>slide1" leaving the .kpx at the end.
3. Repeat step 2 and rename the file as "<name>slide2" and so on.
4. On each slide, type something below the black line (in a text box) and illustrate above the line to match your writing.
5. Remember to save often!
6. Use the slide sorter to import each slide you created. Save the slideshow with a new name.
