Welcome!

Thank you for visiting my first WebQuest publication! This online project contains the pieces you and your students need to get started with enhanced learning around a specific topic. The various sections of this WebQuest, found in the left navigation menu, provide the resources students need to research, collect data, and develop a product to showcase their learning. Of course, additional learning with high-quality literature in your classroom and at home makes the process even more meaningful.

This WebQuest also serves as an addition to your current science study. In Tacoma Public Schools, all first grade students study the New Plants module of FOSS. Therefore, the topics in this WebQuest are not designed to replace that instruction but instead to enhance the learning process.

Feedback and suggestions are welcome and encouraged. Please read the "Info for the Teacher" section to contact me with your ideas. I also have links to additional information related to WebQuests, their purpose, and their development. Again, thank you for visiting! Sincerely, Ms. Emily Bannon, Tacoma Public Schools
