Welcome to the Finance Department home page. The Finance Department is located on the corner of South 8th and Tacoma Avenue in the Central Administration Building, Room 200.
Our mission is to provide reliable and relevant financial information and quality financial services in support of the District's goals and objectives.
The Finance Department is comprised of five divisions. Click on the specific division below for more detailed information. Each division is responsible for the following areas:
Accounting Services - location specific financial reporting; accounts payable; accounts receivable and cash handling; Associated Student Body accounting; procurement cards; cash management and banking services; travel; chart of accounts management; general ledger accounting; preparation of the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR); and budget preparation (all funds except General Fund).
Budgeting - compilation and administration of the district's General Fund budget; position control; budget training; assistance and support; comprehensive revenue and expenditure analysis; forecasting and monitoring; staffing and enrollment analysis; levy, bond and debt analysis and calculations; grant management; analysis and reporting; and negotiation calculations and analysis.
Capital Projects Accounting - capital project cash flow analysis and accounting; revenue and expenditure forecasting and monthly reporting; project specific financial reporting; and capital fund budget monitoring.
Payroll - classified, certificated, and substitute employees and student work study program; employee directed benefit processing and reporting; retirement benefits and reporting; Time Input Processing (TIP); extra-work time processing; and W-2 form and direct-deposit handling.
Financial Reporting - comprehensive monthly and quarterly financial results; forecasts and projections; and assistance with revenue and expenditure analysis at individual program level.
